Established in the 19th century, Robert Haviland & C.Parlon are reputed masters of gold and platinum incrustation and inlay work. Their porcelain making respects the traditional craftsmanship.
All the designs in the "Prestige" collection are small masterpieces of perfection. Each pattern is applied by hand and made to order only. The gold or color bands round the plates are hand painted. Each piece is engraved and then gilded with two layers of gold or platinum. When the plates have been fired, they are hand polished with an agate stone which give the gold particular depth and richness.
