The terms and conditions of sale are presented here to settle all dealings between our company whose head office is:

Ordering items through www.royal-avenue.com or www.royal-avenue.fr implicitly means that the present terms and conditions of sale have been accepted. All purchases made are for the personal use of our customers. No customer is allowed to resell part of or the whole order made through our website. If any term or condition appears to be missing, the laws regarding sales and e-commerce will apply.

1 – Items for sale

Customers are informed on the website of the main characteristics of the items on sale, for the main part tableware and items for interior decoration. The photographs provided alongside the descriptions are not binding. Errors and omissions that may have slipped in cannot be used against Royal Avenue.

No complaint can be made against Royal Avenue should an item be out of stock or otherwise unavailable.

2 - Prices

Prices are shown including French VAT. Royal Avenue reserves the right to change the prices without notice but items will be invoiced at the price shown at the time when payment for the purchase is made. All purchases must be fully paid at the time of ordering, except for specific offers that may be announced on the website. No partial down payments will be accepted.

The prices shown are regulated by the laws governing mail order/e-commerce sales.

An invoice is sent with every purchase.

3 – Methods of payment

All purchases and shipping costs are payable in full at the time of purchase.

Payment may be made by debit/credit card or by check for mainland French customers only. We can also help you to pay us by wire transfer.

Payment by credit/debit card: all payments made for purchases on our websites are processed securely through our bank’s system. All financial information is made using encryption in SSL mode. Royal Avenue does not have access to the payment information which is known only to the Sherlock computer system used by the LCL bank which connects to the customer’s bank directly.

The credit card will be debited the day following the transaction and your purchase will be validated once we receive our bank’s confirmation that the payment has been accepted.

For mainland French customers -or holders of a French bank account in Euros-, please send your check, duly filled in and made out to Faïence & Cristal Fins to:

The order will not be confirmed until your check has been received and accepted by our bank.

4 – Shipping charges

Delivery destinations are the following: mainland France, Europe and the vast majority of other countries. Please contact us if there could be a doubt. Shipping charges depend on the weight of the items purchased and the final destination.

Shipping charges will be calculated during the payment process when the total order is known as well as the destination. The estimated amount will be shown on the invoice. Additional payment may be required for packages with unusual or particular dimensions or because of special requirements needed that entail an important surcharge for special transportation of for countries frar from France.

The customer recognizes that he/she is duly informed of the shipping charges that are invoiced in addition to the goods being purchased.

5 – Confirmation of sale

Royal Avenue will send a confirmation of the sale within 3 working days from the time the purchase was made. Information regarding the estimated date of delivery will be sent to the customer on request. Most orders will take approximately 6 weeks to be manufactured and shipped.

The purchase is considered completed and accepted only when Royal Avenue has validated it.

Some purchases may require additional information from the customer. In this case, the customer will be contacted by e-mail with a request to provide the necessary documents or information.

Royal Avenue reserves the right to cancel a purchase if the information and/or the documents are not sent by the customer or if the documents are not considered suitable for the purpose.

A purchase may be cancelled by Royal Avenue for a number of reasons, including not being given all the necessary information required for delivery. The customer will be informed of the situation by Royal Avenue.

6 - Delivery

Delivery can be made:

To the address provided by the customer on any working day. The shippers used by Royal Avenue deliver only to the person nominated to collect the delivery.

If the purchase is for items from several suppliers, these may be delivered separately.

7 – Shipping delays:

Royal Avenue cannot be held responsible for delays occurring beyond the control of the company, in particular those due to exceptional circumstances during manufacture or transportation that might delay or prevent delivery of the items purchased.

Damages will not be awarded under any circumstances to the customer for unforseen delays.

All delivery dates communicated to the customer are purely indicative. Should Royal Avenue learn of a delay, the customer will be informed as soon as possible so that he/she may decided whether to maintain the purchase.

If the delay given is not acceptable to the customer, he/she must address a letter sent by registered mail to:

Cancellation of the purchase by Royal Avenue can only be validated if the goods have not been shipped or delivered to the customer in the meantime.

The customer will be reimbursed in full within 30 days of receipt of the registered letter. The customer thereby undertakes to refuse the goods should they arrive in the meantime.

Conformity of the goods delivered:

On receipt of the goods, le the customer undertakes to carefully check the contents of the parcels and the state of the items purchased.

If the packaging is visible seriously damaged, the customer may refuse the parcel and indicate clearly the reasons for the refusal. The parcel will be returned to Royal Avenue and you will be re-delivered free of charge.

If items appear to be missing after checking the delivery note, the customer should indicate this clearly on the delivery list. The number of parcels and the description of the missing items should be indicated. Royal Avenue should be informed of this by e-mail or from the Contact page of the website.

If, with 48 hours of receipt of the parcel, items appear to be broken, chipped, cracked or damaged in any way, the client should send digital photographs and details of the damages immediately. Royal Avenue will undertake to replace the damaged items free of charge.

N.B.: Once you have signed the delivery receipt, if no particular mention is made, the carrier and Royal Avenue have no further responsibility to the customer. The remark “awaiting to be unpacked” is not a legal reason and cannot be withheld.

If the delivery officer will not leave you enough time to thoroughly check the goods, the customer may indicate “Impossible to check as delivery man in too much of a hurry”. In the case of a dispute, the customer has 48 hours in which to unpack and to write to the carrier by registered mail. A copy of this letter must be given to Royal Avenue immediately.

If no reserves are mentioned on the delivery note, the goods will be deemed as having been delivered correctly. No further complaint can be made.

8 – Cancellation period

All items, other than those that are not standard (colors other than white, special dimensions or special orders with monograms, logos and crests, can be exchanged within the French legal limits.

The French consumer code (Article L 121-16) indicates that the customer has a fourteen day period during which he may cancel his order.

All cancellations must be notified immediately to Royal Avenue by telephone (+33 (0) 1 46 07 03 26) during opening hours (9:30 to 18:30, Mo-Fri.), by e-mail or via the contact page of the website. The exact return address and modalities will be indicated to the customer.

If the customer wishes to cancel his order but has already received the goods, they must be returned unused and in their original packaging, in perfect condition and accompanied by all or any accessory that was delivered at the same time. The order number and all pertaining details must be clearly indicated on and in the parcel. Postal or carrier costs are to be borne by the customer.

Damaged, dirtied or used items will not be accepted.

Royal Avenue undertakes to exchange the items or to reimburse the customer, excluding shipping costs within 30 days of receiving the returned parcel.

Reimbursement will be made by crediting the account used for payment by credit card.

In the case of a partial or complete cancellation of the purchase, the amounts due for bank commissions (credit/debit card payments) will be borne by the customer.

9 – Property rights

All items delivered remain the property of Royal Avenue until such time as full payment is received and accepted by its bank.

10 - Integrity

Should one or any of the present clauses become null or void due to a change in legislation or any legal requisite, it/they will not affect the validity of the present terms and conditions of sale.

11 - Validity

The terms and conditions of sale laid out here apply for the entire length of time during which Royal Avenue offers items for sale online. They can be modified at any time by Royal Avenue.

12 – Legal jurisdiction

The terms and conditions laid out here are subject to French law.

Any dispute arising from the application of these terms and conditions of sale are subject to French law and only a French court can judge.

Royal Avenue and its customers come under the jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of Paris.

13 - Proof

The order's final validation (purchase or estimate)  will constitute proof of the whole order in accordance with the provisions of the French law of March 13, 2000, and will cause the sums incurred for the order to become due and payable.

This validation by the customer constitutes an electronic signature and formal acceptance of all the transactions carried out on the website. The computerized documents held on Royal Avenues system and kept in reasonable security, will be considered as proof of communication, purchases and payments made between the customer and Royal Avenue.

The archiving of Royal Avenue’s order forms and invoices is done on reliable and long lasting supports in order to provide a true and long lasting copy in compliance with article 1348 of the French Civil Code.

All enquiries regarding a purchase or a potential purchase can be answered by telephone on +33 (0) 3 87 98 68 51 from Tuesday to Saturday between 10-12 am and 2- 5 pm.

15- Personal information

All information collected through the websites belonging to Royal Avenue during the ordering or payment processes are required in order to carry out the order. In compliance with French law n°78-17 of 6th January 1978, the customer may, at any time, request an access to the data held in order to correct or delete it.
